Joyce Andersen
Joyce is a veteran musician who has enjoyed a varied 25 year career as side-gal, session player, singer-songwriter, and band leader. Andersen's music has brought her from the coffeehouses and taverns of her native New England, national & international touring as a solo artist and with husband, Harvey Reid, Childsplay, Eric Andersen, Richard Thompson and a host of other artists in her side-gal days. She even made it to Carnegie Hall with a ultra high-energy celtic-bluegrass band and the Conan O'Brien show with Marshal Crenshaw.
Shana Aisenberg
Shana is a nationally recognized multi-instrumentalist, playing, composing, recording, and teaching diverse acoustic roots styles from traditional southern Appalachian and Celtic, to eastern European Klezmer, bottleneck blues and jazz. She has been a national flatpicking champion.
Betsy Heron
Betsy grew up on a farm in central Massachusetts, playing throughout her childhood in a family country band called the Housejackers which included her parents and three sisters. Today she regularly performs around New England as part of various groups (The Hazel Project, The Green Sisters, Green Heron, Little Wishbone to name a few). She started out learning classical music, and was in the Massachusetts Central Districts orchestra for several years through high school; however, her passion turned to Irish and contradance fiddle tunes almost as soon as she took up the instrument. Old-time fiddle tunes are now her favorite, but she loves all styles.
Big Chicken
Big Chicken, a dynamic band from the 1990s, brought a fresh fusion of bluegrass, rock, folk, and country to the music scene with their original tunes. Known for their high-energy performances and heartfelt storytelling, they carved out a unique sound that resonated with fans across genres.
Ward & Son
David and Adam Ward will share original songs honoring family and community, all in the spirit of New England Fiddle Ensemble.
Chickenshack Bluegrass Band
Chickenshack is a dynamic bluegrass band with influences from classic rock, country and beyond. With five lead singers and some high-octane harmonies, each song is entertaining and different from the song before it. Chickenshack has enjoyed performing at music festivals and fairs around New England.
